fanscouter (the "Service") is operated by caracriworks 株式会社("we", "our", "us"). This policy describes how we handle information collected from shop owners and end-users of storefront displays.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: email address and hashed password used to sign in.
• Instagram account metadata: the Instagram user ID, username, and follower count of Business/Creator accounts you connect via the Meta Graph API. We also store the long-lived access token required to poll follower counts.
• Follower count time series: periodic snapshots of follower counts for accounts you connect. Used for analytics shown only to you.
• Recent post metadata: for each Instagram account you connect, we periodically fetch the most recent 25 posts and store their public metadata (post ID, media type, thumbnail URL, permalink, post date, like count, comment count). Used to render the post performance analytics screen visible only to you. No comment content or user identifiers are received or stored.
• Instagram Insights metrics (when instagram_business_manage_insights is granted): daily reach, views, follows/unfollows, profile-link taps, total interactions, likes, comments, shares and saves for accounts you connect; and aggregate, anonymized audience demographics (age range, gender, country, city) returned by Meta. We never receive personally identifiable information about your followers — only aggregate counts. These metrics are stored as time-series rows on our server and shown only to you in the analytics screen.
• Display configuration: theme preferences and the display token used by storefront web pages.
• Subscription records: if you subscribe through Apple, we store the Apple original transaction ID, product ID, and status returned by Apple's receipt verification. We do not store payment card details.

2. How we use information

• To authenticate you and authorize access to your own data.
• To poll Instagram follower counts for accounts you have connected, and to render these on your storefront display.
• To compute and display analytics (reach, follow trends, audience demographics, engagement) inside the owner mobile app, visible only to you.
• To process and verify subscriptions.
• To respond to deletion and access requests.

We do notshare Instagram metrics with advertising networks, third-party analytics, or any external recipient. Insights data never leaves the owner's view inside this app.

3. Third-party services

• Meta / Instagram Graph API: we request only the instagram_business_basic permission (followers count and username for the storefront display) and instagram_business_manage_insights permission (analytics screen inside the owner app). We do not request DM, content publishing, or any other permission.
• Apple App Store Connect: receipt verification for subscriptions.
• Xserver Inc.: our hosting provider in Japan. Data is stored on Xserver's infrastructure.

4. Data retention and deletion

You may delete your account from the mobile app Settings screen at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes all data associated with it, including connected Instagram accounts, follower history, Insights snapshots, demographics aggregates, and display configurations.

Follower count snapshots older than 365 days are automatically purged by a daily cleanup job. Insights demographics are replaced (not appended) on each weekly refresh, so no historical demographics accumulate.

Meta's user-data-deletion callback is also supported at /api/meta/data-deletion.php.

5. Security

Access tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to the storefront display or other clients. Session tokens are hashed with SHA-256 before storage. All HTTP traffic is served over HTTPS.
